CHITON CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS and TEAMS CHALLENGE
The Club Championships for the 2014-2015 Season will be held on 26th January 2015. Also note that Tickets for the Chiton Rocks 100 Club Raffle are available now. The 100 Club Draw will be 5-7pm on 21st February 2015.

CHITON STRATEGIC PLANNING MEETING
The management committee are holding a strategic planning meeting next Saturday 3rd January 2015 from 10am-12.30pm.
You are invited as you have taken on a role at the club or shown interest in this side of things previously. Please see attached our previous strategic plan (on members resources page) that will be used as a guideline for a new and updated version. Please read through this before the day and have some ideas to bring on the day to ensure the meeting is as efficient as possible (or even better send them through beforehand).
I think these things can get more complicated than they need to be sometimes so I think we need to keep it simple with clear goals and ways of achieving them. If anyone can get their hands on a template or experience with these sort of things please let me know.
If you are unable to make it on the day, your input between now and then would be appreciated and I envisage it will take more than just this one meeting to come up with the final document so there will be further opportunities. RSVP would be appreciated so we know how many are coming.

The Annual General Meeting requires a quorum so please try to come along. RSVPs and apologies to the secretary. 1.15-4.15 pm – Bar Open & Footy on TV at the Club 4.30-5.30 pm – Chiton AGM at the Club (followed by the Annual Dinner in the evening… see AGM and Dinner Flyer)
Annual Dinner and Presentation Night – Sat 23rd August 2014
7.00 pm – Annual Dinner & Presentation of awards and trophies Urimbirra Wildlife Park Restaurant 3 Course meal $15 Adults & $10 kids Seating is limited, so respond early to secure at ticket.
EXTENDED SUMMER CLUB/BAR OPENING TIMES
This season the Bar Opening Times will be extended to cater for members staying at Chiton, and the local community that wish to drop in over the weekend. We are keen to staff the following:
- Saturday after patrol (every weekend)
- Sundays after patrol (when required)
- Friday nights fortnightly (STARTING FRIDAY 1st Nov 5.30-8pm)
RSA training is available to members assisting with the bar during social functions… and our extended opening times! If you would like to contribute, all you need to do is attend an evening course, followed by a quick familiarisation session at the club. This is a useful qualification and the cost is covered by the club for those assisting with the Chiton Bar.Jump up NOW and call the secretary…
Date is yet to be determined but suggestions are welcome!
The Committee is looking for assistance with this fundraiser night.

PATROL THONGS
Volley Australia have launched a new thong range available through Big W and as part of the launch have created red and yellow patrol thongs for all lifesavers. We have been given a mixture of sizes and they have been left in the patrol room for all PATROL MEMBERS ONLY to help themselves to a pair. Any remaining pairs will be offered to other members later in December.
